Youth Club

Friday nights during Term Time Junior Section: 6:00pm – 7:30pm (Years 6 & Years 7) Senior Section: 7:30pm – 9:00pm (Years 8, 9, 10 & 11)

The desire to form a Youth Club at St Bernadette sprung from the Forum in May 2006. Our Youth Club offers young people a safe environment to meet and have fun as well as occasionally conduct outreach activities with the local community.

Klubb meets on Friday nights during term time in the Church Hall. There are two sections, Junior Section runs from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and includes members from Year 6 & 7. There is also a Tuck-Shop selling crisps, drinks and sweets. Senior Section runs from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and includes members from Year 8 upwards. As well as the Tuck-Shop there is a Youth Cafe selling hot drinks including tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We vary our activities each week. Popular activities have included Film and Popcorn Night, Bowling, Murder/Mystery Night, Competition Night, Craft Night, Cooking, Football, Rugby, Rounders, Scary Party Night, Discos, Ice Skating etc. Our members decide the term before what they would like to do and this is accommodated where possible. Equipment in the club includes darts, table tennis, pool, table football, connect 4, air hockey, charades, cards, and a Chill Out Area. The cost per session is £2.00 and we ask that this is paid fully at the beginning of each term. This cuts down on administration and allows us to pay for and plan activities in advance. There are usually more than four Youth Leaders per session as well as Year 11 volunteers who come along to help out. If you wish to join then please contact Jackie. You will need to fill in forms on the first night and you can have a look around to see if you like it.
